    Strategy Chess. In the kingdom of Squish, the green cat-slimes and pink cat-slimes are in battle! In this custom chess ruleset, claw and squish your way to victory. Watch out though! Your pieces fall asleep in battle!

    First-person platformer greybox. Built in Unity and Wwise, escape a mysterious facility and make your way home. Submitted for my audio module in my third year of university, we were tasked with establishing and implementing a convincing sound design on an otherwise simple level greybox without adding any of our own code.

    Stealth and rhythm strategy vertical-slice. In Dischordia, music and those who practice it have been seized by the rogue artificial intelligence, Eris-1. Playing as Apollo, it is your job to escape the data centre you have been held captive and defeat Eris-1 with the power of a smuggled-in walkman cassette player.

    Coursework

    Augmented reality museum experience mock-up. Inspired by Philadelphia’s Mütter Museum for visitors and those interested in visiting alike, this AR experience allows exhibits that were once fixed and sealed away behind glass cases come to life! The prototype specification also considers a knowledge base for articles, videos, and games about the museum centralised in one publicly accessible package.

    Serious walking-simulator greybox. Through the cataract-affected eyes of an elderly person suffering with Alzheimer’s, this project aims to elicit the emotions and frustrations posed by obstacles Dementia victims face in everyday life to raise awareness and obtain an empathetic understanding of the disease.

    8-bit darksynth bullet-hell. Orders just in from The Space Alliance: compromise an entire army of alien invaders. This solo mission of valour is your destiny. Inspired by bargain-bin PC games and designed with the contains of the GameBoy Color in mind, this game consists of only four colours, a limited control scheme, and a resolution of 160×144.

    First-person puzzle horror. This staircase… it doesn’t make sense. I can go down so far but going up a flight takes me back where I left off. How do I get out of here? Lying somewhere between Fatal Frame and Cry of Fear, the only thing accompanying you on your journey is your mobile phone. Wait, how do I have reception down here?

    Alternative-input racing concept. We asked the question no one was asking: how do we formalise office chair racing? This is the hacked together answer to that. Using sensors on mobile phones and WeMos boards connected to the same network as the host machine, an office chair suddenly becomes an (unpredictable) input device.
